Complete Guide — Get started with AKMI Ventures

Three roles coexist on AKMI: the Buyer, the Seller (offering products, services or digital content), and the Admin (oversight). You can switch between Buyer and Seller from your profile.

AKMI is available on web (akmi.store), Android and iOS. The app works in French, English, Swahili and Portuguese.

1. 1Step 1: Open the app or visit akmi.store, tap "Sign up".
2. 2Step 2: Pick your method: email + password, phone + OTP, or Google / Apple login.
3. 3Step 3: Receive the verification code by email or SMS, enter it.
4. 4Step 4: Choose your country and preferred language.
5. 5Step 5: Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
6. 6Step 6: Done! You land on the home screen.

1. 1Step 1: Home: your personalized feed (recommended products, stories, videos, posts from shops you follow).
2. 2Step 2: Explore: the discovery grid — all categories, what's new, trends by country.
3. 3Step 3: Sell (big center button): create a product, a post, a story, a reel or a video in one tap.
4. 4Step 4: Orders: your active orders (as buyer) and those you manage (as seller).
5. 5Step 5: Inbox: your chat messages, order notifications, system alerts.

Top bar: search (text or photo via the camera icon), country selector, cart, profile. Tap your avatar for Settings, Favorites, Wallet, Help.

1. 1Step 1: Search for a product (keywords or photo via visual search).
2. 2Step 2: Filter by price, category, city, seller rating — "Filter" button below the header.
3. 3Step 3: Open the product: read the description, check variants (size, color), look at reviews and seller rating.
4. 4Step 4: Tap "Add to cart" or "Buy now".
5. 5Step 5: Choose delivery: seller delivery, AKMI delivery, or pickup.
6. 6Step 6: Enter or confirm your delivery address.
7. 7Step 7: Choose payment: Mobile Money (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money…), bank card, or AKMI Wallet balance.
8. 8Step 8: Confirm. The money goes into HOLD — secured until delivery.
9. 9Step 9: Track your order from the Orders tab.

When you pay on AKMI, your money is NOT sent to the seller right away. It is held by our payment partners Alafya & Moneroo.

3. 3Step 3: The seller ships or hands over the product.
4. 4Step 4: You receive it and confirm delivery in the app (or auto-confirm after 7 days).

5. 5Step 5: Step 4 — KYC (identity verification): ID photo + selfie — required to receive payouts.
6. 6Step 6: Step 5 — Pick a plan: Free (limited), Starter, Pro, Business — each with quotas for products, posts, and marketing features.
7. 7Step 7: Step 6 — Configure your payout method (Mobile Money).

1. 1Step 1: Product: to sell something. Title, up to 8 photos, description, price, stock, variants, shipping. This is what appears in the cart.
2. 2Step 2: Post: photo or carousel with caption. Permanent. Great for new arrivals, tutorials, customer testimonials.
3. 3Step 3: Story: short vertical photo/video, lasts 24 hours. Perfect for flash sales, daily life, behind-the-scenes.
4. 4Step 4: Reel: short vertical video (up to 60s) with music. Max visibility boost — ideal for product demos and storytelling.
5. 5Step 5: Video: long format, horizontal or vertical, up to 10 minutes. For tutorials, shop tours, recorded lives.

1. 1Step 1: Tap the center Sell button.
2. 2Step 2: Pick the format (Product / Post / Story / Reel / Video).
3. 3Step 3: Capture (camera) or import (gallery) your media.
4. 4Step 4: Add title, description, hashtags, product link if relevant.
5. 5Step 5: For a product: add price, stock, variants, delivery options.
6. 6Step 6: Preview, then tap "Publish".

1. 1Step 1: You get a notification as soon as an order comes in (push + Inbox).
2. 2Step 2: Open Orders → Seller tab. The order shows as "New".
3. 3Step 3: Tap the order to see: product, quantity, address, delivery method, customer note.
4. 4Step 4: Accept the order (status becomes "Preparing").
5. 5Step 5: Prepare the package. You usually have 24-48h depending on your plan.
6. 6Step 6: Mark as "Shipped" and add a tracking number if applicable.
7. 7Step 7: The customer receives and confirms (or auto-confirm after 7 days).
8. 8Step 8: Payment is released to your AKMI Wallet. Withdraw to Mobile Money via Wallet → Withdraw.

1. 1Step 1: Seller delivery: you handle delivery yourself (personal courier, moto, etc.). You set fees and times.
2. 2Step 2: AKMI delivery: our logistics partners take over. Ideal if you don't have a courier. Fees auto-calculated.
3. 3Step 3: Pickup: the customer picks up at your store/point. No delivery fees.

Parcel tracking: every order has a unique QR code. The courier scans it at handover (proof of delivery). The customer tracks status in real time from the order.

1. 1Step 1: Promos: create a temporary discount on a product or category (Seller profile → Promotions).
2. 2Step 2: Product boost: pay to feature a product on Home and Explore for 24h, 7 days or 30 days.
3. 3Step 3: Auto campaigns (TikTok / Meta / Google): connect your networks then launch a campaign right from AKMI — budget, audience and creative handled for you.
4. 4Step 4: Auto-poster: schedule automatic publication of new products to TikTok / Instagram / Facebook.

Prerequisites: validated KYC, Pro plan or above for external campaigns, and TikTok / Meta / Google accounts connected via OAuth from Marketing → Connections.

1. 1Step 1: Wallet: profile → Wallet. Shows your available balance, payments in HOLD, and history.
2. 2Step 2: Top-up: add credit via Mobile Money or card. Handy to pay quickly for next orders or ad boosts.
3. 3Step 3: Withdrawal (seller): tap "Withdraw", pick amount and Mobile Money number. Payout in 24-72h.
4. 4Step 4: Wallet PIN: enable a 4- or 6-digit PIN to secure every withdrawal. Strongly recommended.
5. 5Step 5: Subscription: profile → Plan. Change anytime. Monthly billing, no commitment.

1. 1Step 1: Report content: "Report" button on every post, story, reel, product, profile. Processed within 24h.
2. 2Step 2: Block a user: (•••) menu on their profile → "Block". No more contact afterwards.
3. 3Step 3: Open a dispute on an order: Orders → open the order → "Open a dispute". Money stays in HOLD during review.
4. 4Step 4: Contact support: Help → Contact → WhatsApp (fastest) or email.
5. 5Step 5: Account deletion: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete my account.
